Family Day at the University of Leeds

On Saturday 9th September from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Edward Boyle Library.

TheĀ University of Leeds is running 3 x 2 hour sessions for families to Get Creative in the Makerspace on Level 9 of the Edward Boyle Library (recommended for children aged 6 years+)

The event will introduce you to some different makerspace tools and techniques and guide you through the process of turning ideas into objects. You will have a chance to express your creativity through a number of different projects, such as badge making, model making and stop motion animation, some of which feature components that have been created using 3D printers, Cricut machines and other Makerspace equipment.

Every ‘Get Creative’ session will last for two hours, divided up into blocks of roughly 30 minutes for each project. Please note that children must be supervised by an accompanying adult caregiver.

These sessions are FREE. Each session is limited to only 20 people so please reserve places on one of these three sessions.
